My top stock performers

My top stock performers

Like any sports team, you have your star athletes. Those who attract attention and outperform. Your portfolio will probably be similar. You’re going to have a few investments that shine, some that are mediocre, and others that just lag behind. I’m a buy and hold kind of investor so over time I’ve had some good picks. Here are my top stock performers.

This is by no means financial advice. This is my own personal experience. Work with a financial expert for your unique investing future. I’ve been investing for over 25 years since the dot COM boom and over the years I keep buying what keeps rising. Google (GOOG), Phillip Morris (PM), Apple (AAPL), McDonalds (MCD), Nvidia (NVDA), and Microsoft (MSFT) have given me pretty good returns.

It may look like I am heavy on tech stocks but my portfolio is diversified so I have other equities invested. It just happens that my highest growth are from tech companies. As you can see Google and Microsoft have grown over 500%. I can’t remember when I first invested but it has been over 10 years. The others I’ve highlighted have grown over 100% which I am satisfied with.

Most of these companies also pay a dividend. It may not be much but every dollar counts. Finding a stock that has growth potential and provide a dividend is they ultimate pick.

Picking stocks doesn’t come easy. There is the nervousness whether it will grow or decline. Unlike stocks, ETFs and Index Funds are funds that consist of multiple equities, not just one. You can either pick one stock at a time or invest in an ETF or Index Fund that has multiple stocks already picked for you. These are managed for you. If you are too nervous about investing in a single company, ETFs and Index Funds are alternate options.

For me, I’ve always have invested in individual stocks. I believed in the companies I invested. I believed they were going to do great things and be around a long time. Recently, I started to invest in ETFs because I wanted to have more diversity and to experience the pros and cons.

I will continue to believe in my top stock performers, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, McDonalds, and Phillip Morris that they will continue to grow, continue to be in business for a long time, and have a purpose on this planet which makes them appealing in my eyes as good investments.
