Did you know you can take pictures of your receipts and earn money? There are a number of apps that will give you points for scanning in your receipts and when you get enough points, you can redeem them for cash or gift cards. Skeptical I was and started using one app. Then another app and another. Scanning receipts have paid off for me! Here are programs that I enrolled in and received rewards from them.

Ibotta is an app where you can get cash back on items if you have bought them. All you have to do is identify an item that qualifies a cash back, scan your receipt, and if needed scan the barcode of the item. It’s a win win situation. Getting cash back for items you buy. Use this Ibotta link to get signed up. Here’s what I’ve accrued with this app so far.
I came across this app when I was clipping coupons from the newspaper. It’s similar to Ibotta but Checkout 51 now accepts certain gas station receipts which is a huge plus. Use this Checkout 51 link to get signed up. Here’s what I’ve accrued so far from this app.
Fetch Rewards is another app where you just upload your receipts and you earn points. Once you earn enough points you can redeem them for gift cards. It takes receipts such as grocery receipts and gas receipts. Use this Fetch Rewards link to get signed up. Here’s what I’ve accrued so far from this app.
ReceiptPal is another app I use to scan just about any receipt I have. One good thing about this app is that it takes more than just groceries and gas station receipts. I’ve scanned restaurant receipts, dry cleaning receipts, office store receipts, and others. Use this ReceiptPal link to get signed up. Here’s what I’ve accrued so far and I’m almost ready to redeem for a gift card. Very close!
Sounds too good to be true? Is there a catch? Businesses are trying to win your business and will entice you to purchase certain items or spend your money in certain businesses. With these apps, always read the fine print. I’ve had success building almost $700 in cash rewards! It does take time and effort to collect, retain, and take pictures of your receipt. If you’re ok with that, then why not try these apps? You can scan one receipt across multiple apps, even better! Finding ways to reward your spending is great to have.
