This is a second update to this article. I wrote in a previous article about apps that will give you cash for your receipts. I wanted to give an update because I started using yet another app to help me build my cash rewards because receipts are as good as money.

Receipt Hog

Receipt Hog is an app where you take a picture of a receipt and upload it in their app. You earn credits and when you reach a certain limit, you can redeem a Amazon gift card, Visa card, or transfer to PayPal. I just started using this app so I’m still accruing. But if it’s like any of the apps I use below, it won’t be long till I get my first redemption. Use this link for my referral download.

Checkout51

Checkout 51 is an app that allows you to get rewarded for eligible purchases at stores which isn’t new. Not too long ago, this app has a Gas feature where you can upload gas receipts from participating gas stations. This is great because not only do I get rewards for using my credit cards that give me additional points on gas but I also get rewarded through Checkout 51 also for uploading my gas receipts. I’ve gotten gas rewards from $.06 per gallon to $.25 per gallon. Only participating gas stations will show up. Use my referral link to sign up. I’ve redeemed over $278 so far!

Ibotta

Ibotta is an app where you can get cash back on items if you have bought them. All you have to do is identify an item that qualifies a cash back, scan your receipt, and if needed scan the barcode of the item. It’s a win win situation. Getting cash back for items you buy. Use this referral Ibotta link to get signed up. I’ve redeemed over $624!

Dosh

Another cash rewards app I signed up for is Dosh. I was a little skeptical at first because you have to enter your credit cards in this app. But what this app does is if you use your registered credit cards at any of the eligible places in the app, you’ll get the cash back that’s being offered. Dosh tracks your credit card transactions. I was at Office Depot and I bought a gift card using my credit card. Immediately, I received a notification of an eligible cash back transaction. Not bad for not doing anything. This may be small but over time, this balance will grow. Use my referral link to sign up. I’ve redeemed over $95!

Fetch Rewards

Fetch Rewards is another app where you just upload your receipts and you earn points. Once you earn enough points you can redeem them for gift cards. It takes receipts such as grocery receipts and gas receipts. Use this Fetch Rewards link to get signed up. I’ve been able to redeem for gift cards. Not bad for just scanning receipts!

ReceiptPal

ReceiptPal is another app I use to scan just about any receipt I have. One good thing about this app is that it takes more than just groceries and gas station receipts. I’ve scanned restaurant receipts, dry cleaning receipts, office store receipts, and others. Use this ReceiptPal link to get signed up. I’ve been able to redeem for a $100 Amazon card.

Businesses want your business and they use these apps to give you incentives for doing business with them. One warning I want to caution you is that don’t force yourself to buy things you normally wouldn’t just to get a reward. As I continue to find more of these apps, try them out, and if they’re worth mentioning, I will sure to let you know.
