Want to lose weight? Want to turn that hobby into a business? Want to save money? Want to finally start that blog or vlog? Want to build more income? Want to be a nicer person? Want to give more? What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2021? My resolution is to stay consistent.
2020 was a very tough year to keep any resolution because of COVID-19. If you had problems keeping any resolution, why not try it again in 2021. Never give up on your goals and don’t stop trying. I have only one thing to suggest for you to see your resolutions through. Be CONSISTENT!
Whatever your resolutions are, one way to see results is to be consistent. People start the new year strong, working out, exercising, dieting, saving money, and so on. What people have issues with is staying consistent, continuing to do what you set out to do for the entire year or whatever your timeframe is.
Nothing is as effective as being consistent. If you plan to save money each week or month, doing it consistently will increase your savings. Skipping here and there won’t be as effective. Skipping an exercise routine won’t be as effective.
Be aware of making excuses. This is probably the top reason why new year resolutions fail. Excuses are made not to do it, not to continue with your goal. You’re tired so you don’t want to work out. You wanted to buy something so bad so you don’t have as much to save. Whatever it is, get rid of the excuses.
If you were negatively impacted in 2020, it’s going to be hard to bounce back. Whether you’ve been impacted financially, mentally, physically, or other impacts, it’s going to take time to recover. Let’s put 2020 behind us and see what you can do to make 2021 better. Don’t get discouraged.
Being consistent will help you with your goals and your new year resolutions. Keep at it, don’t get discouraged, and see the results.
